New Shell Stitch Hat Pattern from Susan, and Free New Two-Piece Natural Rose Pattern!

You guys, I've got a new pattern up on Etsy and soon to be live on Amazon too, if you like their Kindle store. It's a super fast, super simple baby hat pattern worked in easy and fast shell stitch! My granny style baby hat might be a tad faster, but this is pretty darn fast, and SUPER easy. And as a thank you for being a blog reader, just click here to get the new rose pattern which is part of the new pattern.

The shell baby hat comes in 5 sizes, ranging from Newborn to 6 months. I've got larger child and adult sizes coming up.

So if you have a little stash of baby weight yarn and a size H crochet hook, check out this pattern here on etsy, or hopefully within a day, find it among my Amazon items.

Thanks for checking it out!! Yours, Susan

Learn how to make a super easy chained Pom Pom and Check out My Valentine's Baby Hat Pattern!

A new Baby Hat! This is my "February Baby" hat and it brings together that fast modified-granny stitch with some heart appliques and a nubby little pom pom which takes 5 minutes to make. (It's just chained). READ ON for how to make this nubby, sassy and best of all, easy chained Pom Pom.
If you want to see the pattern on Etsy, click here
If you'd like to learn how to make the easiest Pom Pom ever, here's what you do:

Simply chain with medium yarn and a size J hook for approximately 12 feet of chains. Tie off both ends.
With a yarn needle or just a crochet hook, run a thread or yarn through loops approximately 3 inches apart. (see photo below)
Then simply pull on your strand, and the lengths of chain stitch will pull up and form a delightful nubby ball. Tie tightly and sew to your project!
Again, if you'd like to see the full pattern with lots of photos and detailed instructions for the hats in Preemie, Newborn, 3 month and 6 month sizes, as well as instructions for the Pom and two Heart Appliques, just check out the pattern on Etsy.

Thanks for looking and have a super crafty day!

Chunky Yarn so Yummy you could Gobble it!

I finished a new pattern today! I have at least 9 or 10 more that are ready to write up, but I'm tweaking, dilly-dallying, what's my problem?
This one's awesome, it's so soft and yummy when done in that "Baby Bee" Hushabye Ombre yarn, in the color "Softly", half cotton and half acrylic. Who names a color "Softly?" And why?

I don't know why, I just love the cap and also the flower done in the same pastel multi. I think the colors are just a bit more muted than most brands...or maybe it's actually the texture I just love. Whatever, it is, you can see what's been obsessing me.
Here's the pattern<a href=http://www.etsy.com/listing/80082577/crochet-pattern-soft-baby-cap-and-simple>on etsy,</a>and I'm working on some flower patterns to give away on this blog.
