Rosettes and Hearts in Crochet

I'm crazily working on these scarfettes, totally obsessed! Here is a collection of them on Etsy I love making a tiny motif puffy and stout! The rosettes edged in black are so floppy and swirly I love them.

I've also been working more in cotton and even cotton thread for summer, but I'm wanting to avoid old fusty ideas and tiny tiny crochet hooks. We need that like a poke in the eye with a sharp stick (or crochet hook), right? So thread with big hooks is what I'm thinking....

It's hard to know what to crochet when summer comes, so I switch to appliques and tiny things, purses and flowers. Show me what you've been working on and have a super day!

Here are my various patterns on Amazon's Kindle Store, including this new one....when you see my patterns as Kindle documents, they're smaller in format and they're unable to be printed out, so I sell them more cheaply than the larger printable versions on my Etsy Crochet pattern store .

More and More Crochet Collections on Amazon!

That monolithic Amazon is indeed taking up my time and effort! Is that selling out? It doesn't feel like it, because it is amazing that ebook authors can have so much control, so much ability to reach people interested in their work. Would love to hear your opinions. Unless you're a book publisher who's mad about Amazon, ha! The cover you see above is to an upcoming collection of mine, a portion of my big Treasury which is currently on etsy .

One of my little patterns, the tiny dimensional birds, is free on Amazon I think, to people who have Amazon prime. And I believe several of my whole Amazon Crochet Collection are free to borrow for a limited time (for 90 days after they are published. So grab em! And do give your feedback, I need it!

Can't wait to show you my new scarfettes and a lariat for your neck that will knock your socks off!! I just have to work out a button closure or something.

Incidentally, if you're interested in looking at my collections on etsy or Amazon, the Etsy versions are larger in format and are printable. For that reason, they are a few dollars more than their counterparts on Amazon Kindle. I feel that the fact that the Kindle ebooks are smaller, with smaller photos and no ability to print out, justifies a 20 to 30% discount.

Have a super day and may God bless you in all of your efforts and loves!

Going Crazy with Springtime Crochet!

I've been going nuts with new designs, mostly flowers. I'm especially proud of a new project I've added to a little pattern set: it's a Party Favor AND a place card, adorable!

I'll have it on my etsy store later today and will hopefully edit this post to include the link. Hope so! But I'm a ridiculous one for biting off way more than I can chew...

And here it is: Flower Hair Clip and Wedding Place Card pattern

Hey you ebook publishers

I was wondering if any of you crafters and authors out there use payloadz.com? I'm setting up an account and can't find any way to create a "storefront" except for an advanced search like this link but am not sure I like it. I think I'll just go with Kindle or something.

More fun with birds and flowers later on this month...next up is a cool daffodil garland pattern, yay!

New Bees and Flowers for Spring!

I'm so happy to have finished this pattern set!! You can see it here on my etsy store, and I am a bit proud.

The little boogers have been a year in the making, because I couldn't accept the fact that I was making a butterfly with a round body. But dangit, I like it, it's cute and it works!!

The flowers are the easiest you can imagine, a snap to make. You can choose to add the thread edging and the extra round of chains for a bit more interest, or make them fast and bold. Here the pattern is on etsy: click here; and also, you can find it on Amazon as a Kindle ebook. Check out all of the Kindle patterns here. Thanks for supporting an itty bitty crochet designer!

What a blast. Thanks for looking, and check out all of my patterns at www.susanlinnstudio.etsy.com .

Tiny Tiny Birdies coming up!! Animal Miniatures in Crochet

Oh, wow, what fun. But I've got to get stronger reading glasses, ha!
I've been experimenting with designing and making tiny tiny animals, for, I don't know...sitting on your window sill or hanging on your tree (for next year, I guess). Miniatures have a certain appeal, not sure why. They're so doable, so quick and darling. And a family of little bluebirds, they make me happy just sitting on my counter.

I've actually finished this pattern, you can find it on Amazon and actually, I think you can borrow it for free for a while!
Happy Crocheting and Happy New Year!
